Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the operator of Finance Calculator (“we”, “us”) handles when you use the Finance Calculator website at https://play1.grozi.net (the “Website”) and the Finance Calculator Android app, package com.ad.joy (the “App”). We have written it to be accurate about how both actually work.

1. The calculators

All calculations run on your own device. The amounts, rates and tenures you enter are not sent to us or stored on our servers. When you use “Copy link to this result”, your inputs are placed in the page address so you can share them; anyone you give that link to can see those numbers.

2. The Website

  • No cookies, analytics or advertising. The Website itself sets no cookies and loads no third-party analytics, tracking or advertising scripts. The only third-party content is the optional app player on /app/ (see 2a).
  • Offline cache. Your browser may store copies of the Website’s pages and files (using a service worker) so it loads quickly and works offline. This stays on your device and can be cleared from your browser settings.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and time, to operate and secure the service. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.
  • Contact form. If you send us a message, we receive your name, email address and message by email so we can reply. We keep messages only as long as needed to deal with your request.

2a. Running the app in your browser

The page /app/ shows the Android App running on a cloud device operated by Appetize.io, embedded in the page. When you start a session, your taps, keystrokes and the device screen pass through Appetize’s service, and the App inside it (including its Google AdMob test ads) runs on that cloud device rather than on yours. Appetize processes this under its own privacy policy. Nothing loads from Appetize until you open that page.

3. The Android App and advertising

The App shows ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects information from your device, which may include:

  • the Android advertising ID and app-set ID;
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • device model, operating system, language and app version;
  • interactions with ads, such as views and taps, and diagnostic data such as crash information.

Your choices. Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), the App asks for your consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time from the App’s “Privacy settings” menu. On any Android device you can reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Rewarded ads. Some optional features in the App, such as exporting a full schedule, may offer to show a rewarded ad first. Watching is always your choice.

The App has no account system and does not upload the figures you enter.

4. Children

The Website and App are intended for adults planning their finances and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU/UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a regulator. The only personal data we hold directly is what you send through the contact form. For data processed by Google for advertising, use Google’s tools linked above.

6. Security and retention

The Website is served over HTTPS. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping, then deleted.
